my question is will an older 5.0L bolt up and fit a 4.6L car? I have a built 347 and I’m looking for a ride to put it in. I am finding good deals on cars 1996-2004 with 4.6L. So will the 302 bolt up to the tranny and k-member??

Bolt up? no. You need to swap K-member and depending on the year change out the crossmember. 4.6L transmissions use a different block bolt pattern than the 302, so you won't be able to use the transmission.

If you swap in a 94-95 K-member, you will also need to swap to the 94-95 spindles to avoid excessive bumpsteer since the steering rack location is higher on those K-members. Those spindles are going for ~ $500/pair these days.

If you are doing an aftermarket suspension then it's all moot, but if you are looking for cheapest method possible I would seek out a 94-95 car.
