I have not mini tubbed yet- but planning on doing it to my 93 hatch.....

Don't even bother with mini-tubbing. Any chassis man will tell you the same thing. If your gonna go through all the work just to mini-tub just go ahead and tub it. You can still run a 13.5 wide tire the same as you would a mini-tub plus it would look meaner.

why touch the frame rails when you dont have to? Also would loose the gas tank and need to run a fuel cell in the hatch/truck.

By mini tubbing I can keep my tank and not touch the frame rails. The major mods are removing the wheel wells and sliding them inward a little and moving my shocks inward of the frame rails....
This will allow me to run the tire/wheel combo i want with a nice clean install and alot less work then completely hacking my car up. This is a street/show/play car ..... not a 7 sec track car.
