1. Trading in my oil in the coolant, ravaged 88 GT for a 94 GT on a cloudy/rainy day (and thinking i got a killer deal). Then finding the quarter panels on hte 94 were littered with parking lot dings.

2. CAI. Looks nice buts costs you performance when its hot out (heat soak).

3. Not buying a vert in the first place.

My list..

1. Bright idea to transplant Mac 3" cat back from a Fox onto my '95. It worked but sounded horrid with all else being stock. Long tubes and a Prochamber down the road didn't help much. Traded out for Dynomax Dynaflow and x-pipe.

2. Decision have the high speed fan come on at 160 degrees and just bypass the low speed fan setting all together. The harness is now melted nicely (post recall). I might have to come up with an aftermarket solution since the OEM connector is all but unobtainable.

3. Not running 'clean' power to my aftermarket stereo. I have 'Ford Noise' / alternator whine with the radio on. Aside from that is sounds good ;). I'll fix this one of these days.

three regrets

1. Installing total control rack & pinion steering.
2. Buying Holly's TBI injection rather then using Fords injection
3. Using Cragger S/S multi-application wheel

#1 MAC Cold Air Induction. NO power gains and waste of $$.
#2 JEGS catback. Worst fitting product ever. Drove my exhaust guys crazy with getting the clangs out.
#3 Thinking a backfire was a piston hiting a valve on my new H/C/I and pulling everyting off and puting it back on again.
#4 Going thru 3 sets of Mufflers trying to get rid of the drone.
#5 Not going 347 short block from the start and all this $ just to keep up with a stock LS1.
#6 Thinking you could just bolt on 24# injectors with a MAF calculated for 24's. Cost me $1200 for MD performance to tell me the MAF needed to be programmed.
#7 Going H/C instead of just supercharging the car that would have made more HP and tons more TQ.
#8 Going 3.55's on a heavy vert just to go 3.90's later.
#9 Buying projector headlights that are by nature CRAP. (Got a credit and sent them back for Cobra's so not too bad.)

hmmm through lots of planning and selling crap before it even gets close to the car...
1. saleen double-stack wing
2. underdrives: car hasnt charged for crap since
3. letting my mom drive my car for a few days....now my cobra r's have curb rash on all damn 4
4. not switching my aode to 5spd earlier...currently collecting parts but i've put up with this damn slushbox for wayyyyy too long

REGRETS:
1. Buying a USED supercharger. Bearings were shot after a couple years.

2. Having a lead foot. 285/35/18 tires will also burn a hole in your wallet when you have to replace them every year.

3. Letting a shop replace my clutch because I couldn't get a weekend off work to do it myself. They did a good job but it wasn't worth the money.

BEST DECISIONS:
1. Getting into the car hobby no matter how much it costs. (Lets face it, mustangs are probably the cheapest cars to mod)

2. Supercharging a stock motor. The car was a blast with it.

3. Doing all the work myself. Learned alot and had fun even if I swear at Ford everytime I find a bolt nearly impossible to get to.

STILL TO SEE:
1. Buying a wrecked Mark VIII, completely stripping it apart just for fun, and eventually putting a DOHC 5.0 (will be) with a T56 into a SN95. Sooo much work to come but I don't think I'll ever be one to say, "I shoulda just baught Cobra".

Hmm..not getting a dyno sheet with a car that was modded. Did my homework more when buying my first mustang, and then not buying one with an ecam in it!

4 Core radiator.. They are made for moving at speed, and not sitting in traffic.
Flowtech headers.. Should have went with something jet-hot or ceramic coated.
E303. Not really sure what I should have went with.. prolly a custom grind.

3 Regrets??????

1. Buying a LOUD Tremec TKO for street.

2. Powerdyne XB1A race supercharger... which blew my heads and started me on the expensive engine rebuild.

3. Taking Auto Shop in High School...... no, really.

1. Not double checkin to make sure m fuel rails/lines were in perfect condition (actually, a lot of GOOD has come out of the fire rebuild)
2. King Cobra Clutch - it feels like im pushing down the brake pedal with the car off
3. probably switching from AOD -> T5, i havent driven it yet but i dnt think im going to like it at all
4. Swapping a lincoln motor into my 95 instead of just buyin a GT

1. Installing a Grannetelli Motorsports Product
2. Not removing the inferior product after I knew it was the source of problems and potential catastrophic danger.
3. Getting in a wreck caused by said product when I had better (safer)replacements sitting in my trunk.

What product are you refering to? I've had their standard tubular ucas and lcas on my car for years.

1. Not getting a 1996+ convertible Cobra. I dont have a vert, want one, and am too deep into my current one to let it go.

2. Rebuilding engine with low compression, stock compression pistons then adding GT-40 heads with the larger CC's, and waiting over two years to supercharge it. Vortech this summer though!

3. Waiting so long to replace my suspension. Car had 120k miles and rode like crap. 1k later, new control arms, springs, tie rods, shocks, and it runs beautifully.

Best thing I never did was buy a Camaro. Friend has one, LT1, and it is a piece of ****. Changing the spark plugs is an uber pain in the ass, and the opti is complete trash. It squeaks, rattles, and drives like crap. I absolutely hate Camaros!

2nd best thing was doing all the work myself with the help of my dad. I couldn't have done it without him; he is awesome. So much learning expierences and time spent with him has made it all worth it!

adjustable LCA's

Bad Decisions
1. Buying Granatelli Motorsports double adjustable rear upper and lower control arms.....Cheap doesn't equal good...
2. Trying to build my 1970 Mustang while going to college and working part-time.....Never enough money to do things right
3. Heli-coiling headbolts on a stock 302 roller block......NEVER do this, just get another block
4. Selling my low mileage daily driver '89 notch and buying a '94 gt with no motor.....I really miss the notch, and am now looking for another....
5. Not buying a Dart block and trying to go fast with a stock roller block.....Even with a girdle the stock block didn't last for long.
6. Changing ever suspension piece on my 1970 Mustang with aftermarket parts, It hooks and handles GREAT, but now I want to go a whole different route with the car (poor planning)....

I could go on and on....

Good Decisions
1. Getting into Mustangs......It keeps me out of most of the trouble I got into, but gets me into more with local pigs...
2. Not floating the mainstream and instead building a 1970 Mustang coupe....I absolutely love the car, and if I ever sell it I will buy another....
3. Buying some 315/35/17 Nitto 555r's for the rear....They hook as good as can be expected, ride GREAT, handle GREAT, and last longer than any other DR I've ever seen....

On my 95 vert:

1. Not finding this web site before starting to mod my car.

2. Adding a supercharger without having a complete plan (kit used fmu instead of correctly sized injectors).

3. Lowering springs.

On my 84 Lx drag car:

1. Trying to build my own race engines. (Gave up after 2 bearing failures).

2. Art Carr crappy transmission. (Now run a dynamic with no issues).

3. Nitrous oxide ( just don't use it enough to justify expense).

Shoulda spent $2 Grand on an engine rebuild(enjoyed the car more then)instead i wanted to go faster with 20Grand overhaul. Now the car sits in the garage coz it's a pain in the *SS to drive.Don't get me wrong I have a great time blowing other cars doors off but she hates to be driven normal(crusin speed) .Could of saved that money and bought one of those all wheel drive turbo cars!!!!!!!

1. Installing a King Cobra Clutch, burned it out in two months and then bit the bullit and bought a Centerforce. Love it

2. getting a tweecer basic instead of the RT. What a waste, all I have figured out to do is copy someone else's bin's with similar mods.

3.When the engine blew, I thought I could just get the DSS shortblock. I should have gotten the long block. Had to mill the heads, fix bent valves and get a new camshaft. Didn't find out I needed that stuff until after I bought the shortblock. Spent a total of $4300 with labor and I still have GT40 heads
:curses:

1. Roller Rockers. Liked 'em at first, but they weren't good for low end torques and they were very loud in drivethroughs.

2. Not doing the complete top end in kit form. (I.E. Holly systemax) Did edelbrock small valve heads, and cobra intake manifold on a stock cam and was pleased though. Next build will probably add a mild edelbrock cam and performer manifold though.

3. Getting involved in other hobbies. This let the poor girl get into pretty ratty shape, and now she needs a lot of attention.
