What were your biggest regrets or top three worse mods.

1) chip on a stock mustang
2) March Ram Air inducion kit. Basically a vacuum for cigarette butts into your intake.

3) locking mechanism for pin on hood, versus the cotter key. The lock was pot metal and broke--with subsequent hood flying up and hitting my windshield.

1) Chip on a basicaly stock mustang.
2) Upgrading to 24# injectors and a 190 lph pump becasue i thought i was going lean.

fox a9l pin relocation"hard to trouble shoot some problems and could have just had a good tune done for what the costs were and performance gains were nothing special at all"

pih fan controller"fan motor locked up,replaced it and it worked for 2 days then just stopped. I tested the new motor and it was good but no way to test the fan controller"

fixing a t5"should have just upgraded bc the I fixed the cluster and third gear twice so it was only a couple hundred short of what a good 3550 would have been"

Just my experience for whatever it's worth

I only have 1
(1) Letting the wife drive it because she fell in love with it and now I barely get to drive it and still have to do upgrades on it because she want's a "toy" too.

Not having a plan and replacing aftermarket parts several times over (e.g., cam, heads, intake, headers, etc....)
Yeah, that would be number one. Thought I would stay with stock 16s and put on 12 inch Baer brakes. 12 inch eradispeed rotors cost like $100 more than 13 because they have to machine them down to 12 inch, stuff like that. THEN purchasing 18 inch wheels, and I could have gone with the better 13 inch brakes and rotors -- saving a bunch of $$$$. Now I have 18 inch wheels with 12 inch rotors.... blah

Then again, I've learned a lot, too..so difficult to say. But yeah, have done a ton of repetitive stuff and wasted a bunch of money.

1. mmr coil-overs combined with strange struts
2. not doing my bottom end before bolting on the blower
3. dropping the front end too much and scraping on speed bumps

What I wouldn't do again.

1.) Underdrive pulleys
2.) Would have gone with the cheaper (and exactly the same) Cobra 13" brakes. I found out the Baer's are just re-badged Cobra brakes.

3) Love the sound of the Bassani exhaust, but on a lowered mustang they scraped. They are ill fitting (too long) and hang down too low. Scraped the cats, and they are out of warranty if you they even have a nick on them.

4) Wouldn't have messed with the Lentech AOD-E and went straight to the 5 speed swap.

5) Even though I couldnt have avoided it at the time, wish I had known how or someone to teach me how to do a head swap. Wasted a lot of money paying somebody to do it for me--and then they didn't know how to tune. They assured me it would run fine. F*****ers. Can you tell I'm upset about that one?

6) Wouldn't have bought a ton of stuff I never used or sold because of really poor planning.

THe list goes on and on. Best way to save money. Plan!!!! Plan!!!! and more Planning!!!!

1. Power pullies- Great bang for the buck, but with my car I always had charging problems

2. Off-road pipe. Too loud and attracts too much unwanted attention.

3. D&D rear control arms. Didn't help that much and squeak like hell.

4. (in general) Any product that I bough from BBK

What was wrong with your projector headlights? I am contemplating installing a set of 1-pc from Mr. Body Kit.

like many have said, buying performance parts only to replace with different performance parts. alot of $ spent.
the #1 thing i would change right from the start, even when my car was running with the stock lower end and displacement and edelbrock heads and b cam i would have went with an anderson ford pms. for 2 reasons: first, every time i upgraded i could have retuned right through the pms. 2nd, with the amount of money i've spent on chips and different tuners i could have bought the dam pms and probably mastered it by now.

1) Selling, Buying Back, and Selling again my blown 92 LX Bright Green Notch "Snot Rod"
2) Selling my Brand New 1997 Mustang Cobra.
3) Buying this ratty Convertible 94 Mustang 5.0 GT and putting to much money into it.

1.) MAC cold air intake
2.) Saleen Momo shift knob
3.) Alternative autos subframe connectors

And an honorable mention would be just selling the car and saving for a cobra or cobra r. That way I would heve a little better investment than a regular GT.

1. using eurothane bushings in the rear....picked up a lot of rear noise, did
not help 60' times...and caused a lot of tire hop on the 17's

2. upgrading from a S-Trim to a T-trim with virtually no gain (have to pulley
up, but expected some type of gain with same pulleys)

3. back to #1... put Steeda control arms top and bottom...did not make
a difference....no issue with quality...nice stuff!, just did not get any
return on the dollar.

1) Like many, not having a plan and buying performance parts that were eventually replaced with different performance parts.

2) B&M Shift Plus (first attempt at a mod)

3) Equal length headers. They are just a pain in the ass
