would it be possible to run a kb 1.5l on a 89 5.0 with 30lbs inj and cal. maf with no fmu? just upgrade the fuel pump? i wouldnt run that much psi. maybe 6 or 7. less if i need to. ive just heard alot of stories of gas mileage goin away with fmu's.

need to know the complete combo, eg. heads, intake, etc. to tell if 30's are big enough and you would need tuning to run safely with no fmu.

Also, a fmu shouldn't hurt gas mileage under normal driving as it's purpose is to provide enrichment under boost only.

stock heads, stock cam, bbk shorties, off road x pipe, and the stock lower with the kb on top of that.

DO NOT do it, my friend tried the exact thing and popped his headgaskets almost instantly. He had the fuel pressure cranked up at idle to 55lbs too.

I ran 30lbers and FMU on my 93 GT, don't try it without the FMU unless you get a chip done or else you are asking for it.....this is from experience...
