Rebuilding my short block soon. Was wondering if Hyper pistons are ok to run on 6-8lbs of boost from a Kenne Bell. Street car only. No racing. Will be professionally tuned as well.

I have done it but when it went boom it cost me more than I really wanted it to 22psi on a 70mm Turbonetics unit it took the block cylinder heads and turbo with it however it is live for almost 2 years 98 explorer 5.0 from pull a part $225 if its a budget build is there any way you can get around to replacing the pistons I think if that's all you want to do with it that you will be very happy but if in the future you want more it will always be in the back of your mind
Been running my stock 93 pistons with 6-7lbs. boost for 3 seasons now, no issues just make sure your tune/a/f ratios are safe (just a weekend cruiser).
Just upgraded my s/c should put out around 10lbs. still need to tune it when the weather warms up.
I'm running stock hyper pistons in my boosted 351W (96' roller motor) now that peaks at about 13lbs. As said, it's all in the tune. Detonation will eat up forged pistons so hypers will go quick.
