i know people asking this has probably gotten old...but i figured my car would run better then it does. the best ET it has ran is 13.95, and has ran 104 mph on a seperate pass, both runs on 17" street tires. still spinning the a/c compressor and clutch fan. car has big and littles on it now, 15x4 w/ 165r15s, and 15x8 w/ 295/50s

stock bore 302, trick flow stage 1 cam, victor jr intake, 650dp carb,MAC 1 5/8 longtubes w/ a prochamber and bullets, 1.6 proform roller rockers, cleaned up e7s w/ stock valves, centerforce d/f clutch, w/ 4.10s. car also has lakewood 90/10 struts and 4 cyl springs up front, subframe connectors, and steeda rear lowers.

the car has TFI on it still(but has 6al w/ MSD coil)which i know is limiting it some, but i expected it to run a little better. i was hoping for more along the lines of a 13.30 or so

A good running stock 5-speed coupe car should run about 13.95-14.10. 14.22 is the fastest I ever got my notch to go but I have seen several the I knew were completely stock run those times if everything was right. I'm not sure how fast what you have should run but I'd think it should run better than 13.95.

the 13.95 was @ 101 mph w/ a 2.16 60' and the 104mph was 14.14 w/ a 2.4 60', the 104 mph was with the spout connector in, the 101 was with it out

it also went those times with an untouched professional products RPM air gap intake and all the a/c components.

now it has the victor jr with the cleaned up e7s, and NO a/c parts(compressor, condensor, lines, etc)

on a side note, i have it all for sell if anyone wants it, its all good minus one a/c line

you won't know how fast your car is until you put some good tires on it. with some sticky tires and some hard driving it will go faster for sure.

i would also put that pp intake back on it if i were you.

you already answered your own question...tires...i dont understand why people do all the work to get more hp than use the same old stock tires and then wonder why it will not run...tires..tires..tires..tires..my friend
