so ive searched and read great reviews from both ends..separately..has anyone run these tires back to back on the same car(regardless of size)? which is better?

im looking at:

26x10.50-15 MT's
or
26x9.50-15 QTP's

and i cant decide between the two..any info/advice is appreciated, thanks

...and to clear up any confusion, these would be the bias-ply ET Streets not the ET street radials..

I've tested both on MY car in the past on the same day. (size 27x10.5" for each brand) The et street couldn't muster anywhere near the sixty foot of the qtp. (1.54 to 1.59 if memory serves) In fact, my bfg 235 60 15 drag radials sixty foot a hundreth better than the et street as well. :hammer:

I dont run QTP's, but i went from a ET Street to an M&H DOT Cheater and i LOVE them. I wouldnt mind trying QTP's, but im extremely happy with my M&H stuff.

well hard for me to compare directly on 60ft because I went from 27" to 26" and changed from a 3650 to a T56.

what I noticed most was consistency. It felt like I was having to play with the MT every pass. The M&H wasn't like that at all, and I had 165ftlbs more tq on em. Also seemed like theydidnt require as much heat. Just drop the pressure to 14lbs, heat once and they hook repeatedly.

ordered some 26x11.5-15 QTP's yesterday..would love to see some 1.5x 60ft times..but as long as its consistent,i'll be happy..will report back in a few weeks..thanks for everyone's advice....

I tested QTP's vs. ET Streets and had much better luck with QTP's and the 27x11.5 fits like a damned glove on a fox car. The 28 ET Streets were more of a problem.

However, I switched now to Hoosier Drag Radials and I have cut some high 1.3 60 fts with those which is faster then I ever did with the QTP's.

The drag radials are sort of comical, they have two bands of tread, look much more like a slick and have a VERY pliable sidewall. If they have steel belts in them, there aren't many :)

ive thought about going back to a radial myself..but i think the bias ply is a bit softer on my trans, being that im still running a bone stock T-5

the QTP's look alot better than the ET streets IMO..they have a nice fat, solid center section in the tread, and look like a slick partitioned into thirds..the et streets have all those grooves..dont know if looks actually mean anything, but these look good..track opens in 2 weeks, hopefully the ground is warm enuff to hook lol..
