I have replaced all rotors, pads ,calipers and rubber brake lines. All the fluids seem fine. When i drive it i can feel every crack or defect in in the road. Looks like 1 shock is leaking looking for more of a touring than sports ride any shock ideas. This is my 1st project car and only an average mechanic

My GT had 65m miles when I bought it and rode like a tank. Shocks were just junk. When I pulled them out each one compressed differently. One was easy. One was stiff.

ended up replacing them with Bilstiens and did an Eibach pro-kit. Car rides fantastic now.

Correct sir. Bilstien shocks and struts front and rear.

Harsh ride can be attriuted to many other things as well. Are the isolators falling apart or are they still in great shape? What is the condition of the bushings in the control arms , front and rear? When i went through my suspension, the front control arm inner bushings were toast. Replacing the A-arms alone did improve ride comfort. Less clunks and thumps.

at 25K the worst i could see happening to the stock springs is they might be a bit soft in the rear and sag.

What is your goal here? Are you looking to lower, or just looking for a better ride? Bilstiens are great, but if you are leaving the stock springs they might be a bit much for the stock spring. Might recommend something like the Koni STR.T which might be a little more comfortable for a stock spring setup, but may not handle as crisp.

You could also go with a basic Gabriel type shock./strut which is probably the closest to an OE replacement as you'll find. Cheaper cost, but i do not know how it will perform.
