I need to know how many digits the odometer of a 93 gt shows. I can get one that is thought to have 27,000 miles, but it might be 127,000. I need to know if the odometer shows the hundred-thousand column. Thanks!!

you never know but I seriously doubt anyone with a 9 year old mustang only has 27000 miles on it...most 93 Cobras have more than that

my 93' cobra has ~60,000 miles.. and the 93' coupe in sig is almost to 80,000..

now if the car was from a cold/snowy part of the country.. 27,000 miles :) m-a-y-b-e :)

but its probably rolled over the 100,000 marker already

brett

Maybe this is a myth but someone told me the 1/10th digit turns yellow when it turns over. MINE IS YELLOW!! It turned over..

My friend has 87k on his 93 his is white as can be !! WHO KNOWS

No Brett, your mom's '93 Cobra has about 60K miles on it...and your mom's coupe has about 80K miles on it.

Paybacks suck don't they. J/K

Yep, that's a myth. There's positively nothing in the mechanism that triggers any indicator of any sort when it rolls past 99,999.9

When looking at a car and in doubt about mileage, look at the windshield, is it pitted? A low miles one won't be but a high-miler will. Look at the pedal covers, are they worn? Look at the carpet, is it worn under the pedals? Look for road rash in the paint, and if none is found, look for evidence of a re-spray. There are all sorts of "wear indicators" if you get creative.

I'm going to assume that if a 93 Cobra only has 27K on it, then the owner was smart enough to keep some records of service etc, check the miles and dates on these and see if the story adds up.. A close friend on mine sold a 93 cobra w/ 18k on it last year, and he was the original owner, so they are out there.
Tom :)
