Taking Offers!!!

Financial situation forces me to sell these heads. I bought these a while back because I know they are rare. I've been told as few as 10 sets of these heads were produced. They never went into production because of the cost/profit ratio. I've even heard they were originally intended for the S351 or Cobra R...they do have the larger 351 head bold holes in them.

You can see the "XE" casting on the heads denoting thier experimental heritage.

These are GT40 3 bar heads...the 3 casting bars are on the front of the head just like the cast iron ones.

They are NOT Y302's, X302's or Z304's...they are GT40 heads. I bet if you were to paint them black or gray they would pass for iron heads....sneaky huh??

They have been bolted on to a motor at some point in thier life as you can see the gasket impressions on the head surface and some rtv on the intake side...but the exhaust ports and combustion chambers are spotless...never ran.

I paid $850 plus shipping for them. I know that is a lot for a set of bare heads, but these are probably the rarest of all heads ever produced for a small block ford. I wanted them simply for that reason and never intended to use them. I would keep them if I could.

PM me with any other questions or offers. I'd like to get my money back out of these....but will listen to offers.

Email me direct at ronmhill@mchsi.com I am not getting notifications from the board for some reason.

They are 1.84/1.60 valve heads with 56cc chambers.

Nothing concrete. I found these specs posted by a nother member.

specs:
-55cc combustion chamber//
-150 intake runners//
-55 exhaust runners// ???????typo I think
-1.84 intake valves//
-1.6 exhaust valves//

They should flow better than stock GT40's due to the larger 1.6 valve. Other than that...they're just unique.

Any interested in buying..???

Is that the lineage of these heads? I did not realize that Cobra R's had aluminum GT40's on them. Did all Cobra R's come that way?

These heads have not been used...wonder where they came from?

not all had them just a select few these heads from what i was told was designed and used on the saleen ,and road course cars were they could be painted to look like cast heads but this is just hear say dont hold me to it but they are indeed really rare and are alittle larger than ur normal gt heads and i have seen some of these heads on mercury mountianeers but did not have the xe stamped on it they used them there because the mountneer is awd and they used the aluminum heads to take off some weight

These are probably pre Cobra R. Probably one of the original R&D sets. Never factory installed on anything sold on the showroom but, definetely something to add to a vintage collection. Everyone knows that means alot of money lately. I'd love to have them but, I am in process of moving and selling some of my own stuff off.

Yea.

Nice heads.

Just to clarify. They have nothing to do with Saleen. I'm going to go out on a limb and lean towards 95 Cobra R heads. They look very similar.

Saleen used Edlebrock Performer heads exclusively on the 94-95 S351's. Then went TrickFlow when the cars went OBDII.

Someone jump on these. Good luck!

I saw some of these on ebay, maybe the same set these were also bare heads. It was earlier this year I thought. I think I might have saved pics from the auction.

Same heads?
