The tool should just snap onto the fuel line. Take the small end of the plastic disconnect tool and push that up into the connector on the fuel line. Then pull the fuel lines apart from each other. Hopefully, it will come apart easily. I hope that helps.

Hopefully you don't have the cheap white plastic ones from Autozone because they work very poorly. Sometimes they get stuck and are quite difficult to pull apart.

 

thanks guys, I am connecting my novi 1000 fmu, do I just disconnect the top fuel line, or bottom fuel line, and which hose goes where, instructions werent real clear, first timer doing this, thanks
