I didn't think wanting a supercharged car was going to be so difficult. I am seriously considering selling my supercharger set up and just go with a N/A efi motor and screw it all.

What I have is a good start at what could be a very fun car. I've got my Dart block I have ordered a callies compstar crank. I have NOT ordered the pistons or rods yet but I was going to go with wiesco pistions and eagle rods and shoot for 9:1 compression but I've held off because if I go N/A then i'll want to go closer to 11:1 compression.

The run down on my plans:

Here is what I'm trying to do. I purchased the block recently to build my 363 motor. I have a callies compstar crank about to come UPS any day now. We had planned on going with eagle rods, wiesco pistons and our target goal was going to be 9:1 compression. The heads will be AFR 205cc heads which I have not purchased yet. The cam which we haven't purchased either yet will be a custom ground Bullet cam. I would like to stay 93oct and this will be strictly a fun street car. I would like anywhere from 600-650 to the tires.

I have a V1 S trim right now. I have a 6.87 crank pulley and a 3.33 blower pulley. Talking to other people the S trim is small for what I’m trying to do. Is there anyway I can get this S trim to pump me out enough boost to get me to 600rwhp. I am willing to purchase a 8” crank pulley. I would also like to tell you that I have a BOV valve in my current discharge tube. I also do not have an intercooler.

The car use to have a carburetor on it and everything efi is gone. I will need to purchase a ecu and wiring harness. I will also need to buy a EFI intake, injectors, fuel rails, etc etc to support me going from carb to EFI. I need it all. Including a throttle body. As far as intake goes i've had suggestions from supervic efi with a 90mm elbow to a holley systemax II and a 75mm throttle body.

In the tank right now is a walbro 255 fuel pump with a feed and return line going to a aeromotive fuel pressure regulator that reads boost. One line is 3/8 and the other is 5/16 I don't know which one is feed or return. I do have pictures of it.

I have a tko600 5sp transmission with a mccloed RST twin disk clutch and a 8.8 rear end with 3.55 gears.

Basically i'm buying parts in waves as the build progresses. At some point and time I will be wanting to buy the intake so that we can get it installed on the motor. We are more than capable to install everything we just need help with buying the right parts to make all this work.

So the point of this thread is that I feel like I am running around with my head cut off without a solid plan.
1. I do not know if my blower will be able to do what It needs to. If I put a 8” crank pulley will that be enough to get me atleast 6lbs or more of boost? I could sell my S trim and buy a T trim. I’ve been actively searching for a T trim but have had zero luck. Hell I am willing to sell my entire supercharger set up and go turbo but I honestly do not know anything about turbos.
2. I still struggle with which intake I need aswell as throttle body. I keep getting 20 different answers from everyone. I’m not trying to my 1000rwhp I just want a fun street car around 600-650rwhp that is reliable doesn’t overheat and can pretty much just get in and go.
3. Another big issue is my fuel system. Don’t quite know what to do there. 4. I need to purchase a good ecu and wiring harness 5. I need injectors (don’t know what size) I also need fuel rails (no clue what to buy)

I need someone to hold my hand and tell me what to buy I have a credit card ready so I can start getting these parts to me.

Or I just say F it all and go N/A 363 with AFR heads put a holley systmax II on there with a 75mm throttle body and call it a day. I might get lucky to make 450rwhp and just be happy with that. I’ve gotten this far though and I have the supercharger brackets and everything so that is why I keep pushing to stay blown. But at the same time it’s a giant pain in the ass cause I don’t know what to freakin buy. At this point in the build I’m willing to do anything to get this underway. Even if I have to sell my supercharger and go turbo. I will sell my V1 s trim and buy a T trim I will sell it and buy a ysi trim. I just need a plan then stick to it. If I were to buy a turbo kit I need someone to point me to a kit that will work on my foxbody and I will get it installed without a problem even if there is fabrication to be done

Thanks for letting me vent

I say..Better to slow down & talk to a Pro(or three)who does this all the time? Pick their brain & let them pick your parts, even if you have to pay them. Most of us GUESS at what parts will work together, then get disappointed(myself included in that)..then have to buy more parts..more frustration! As far as the S-trim,it'll do what you're wanting..but leave little/no room for growth. There are tons of EFI tuning options nowadays..and frankly, unless you are very computer savvy..along with knowing how to tune a blown, EFI motor..I'd say most are a PITA! I don't normally endorse products...but having seen 2 cars built recently with a Holley Dominator EFI system,I say to save your money & go with the Holley system(since you are starting from scratch). It makes tuning EASY,and self learns..plus has TONS of other capabilities:cool:. If you decide to just go N/A...I think you are probably going to end up around 500rwhp. I say that because you stated that you want a trouble free, jump in & go,fun street car. To go past that will likely take lots of cam,compression,E85,and steep gears to turn lots of RPM's(not sounding like what you want,IMO).If you did decide to stay N/A...a carbureted set up will be easier, and cheaper..just gets less mpg. Read all you can about Shifter & Slo5oh's cars..they run good & are well sorted 363's:salute:

I don't have a budget

I sold my Blow thru carb I am dead set on going EFI, I have a mcloed RST twin disk and a tko600 sitting in the car right now. I have a griffen alum radiator I bought about 5 years ago I got the biggest they had at the time for a foxbody drop in from stock. I have plans to build a 8.8 with 9" ends strange axels with a Detroit locker..thats coming next.

I need to buy ecu and wiring harness

I have a R331ci stroker that had a S-trim HD race blower running 18lbs and put down 680rwhp on C16 and a Lentech 3 speed, Vic Jr 220cc ported race heads, extrude honed and race ported Saleen intake and 11.5:1 Ross dome pistons. tuned on a stock computer. was in my 88 coupe drag car.

decided to swap race engines and put the R356ci stroker with Vic Glidden 300cc race heads and GRP aluminum rods in the 88 drag coupe with the YSi blower.

The R331 came out and is going 4.125 bore with CP 2618 forged dish pistons. same Vic Jr heads that have been gone thru and ported again and refreshed. using the same intake, have RCI big tube headers 1 7/8' with 3 1/2" collector with marman clamps, mcleod twin disc and a T56. using the same S-tim from the drag car pullied for 15lbs and this will allow me run pump gas on the street. all goin in the 89 road race coupe. only looking for 600-650rwhp.

u will need around $2k just for ur fuel system to feed ur beast. then suspension mods, like welded battle boxes, 31 spline axles, auburn pro posi, etc.

I run heavily ported AFR 205's that flow 330/240cfm @ .600 lift on my 11:1 CR NA 347.

IMO, I would go to the AFR 220cc head or the TFS HP 225cc head for a blown 363. I would also go to a Scat 4340 H-beam rod with ARP 2000 rod bolts, and use ARP head and main studs. I would choose Diamond or CP 2618 pistons with tool steel wrist pins, rotator neutral balanced. Nothing wrong with weisco, I just like buying top shelf race stuff. Make sure the intake manifold flows more cfm than the heads and run the s-trim at 15lbs.Look at the Vic EFi and super vic.

to put into perspective for u, I have driven my NA 347 coupe now for 3 years and drive my blown 2006 GTO and switch off between them. the blown 2006 GTO is way more fun to drive because the power is instant. 500rwtq at 3000rpm.

If I where you I would get a hold of ED at FTI. He can help you out with and you can get directly from him set up ready to go is heads, cam, and intake. This will take all the guess work out of.

Your fuel pump is too small. If you are going to stay with a intake pump I would get a 340 or bigger fuel pump.

As for ECU there are a lot of different ways to go it just depends on how much you want to spend and learn. I would look into the Pro-M-EFI.

I don't know much about the Blowers so can't help you there.

First find good engine builder so you won't have to do it 2 or 3 times.

Any plan on meth injection

Nice thing about the holley and few other new efi systems is you can have someone tune it remote if you don't have a good tuner near by. You can also go coil on plug and eliminate the need for a ign box.

You will need a good injector look in so FIC 1150 or fic 1650. You can buy cheaper but these idle and perform better then the rest.

You will need a new fuel pump and rails lines.
Look at behind bars race cars fuel rails

Intakes IMO use a TFS R, or ported systemax or ported rmp 1 or 2. Pick one and use it with a 75 mm tb
