Other than the ricers, ghetto racers, and track prep I had a real good night with my Factory Stock set up.
I am now running a stock 80,000 mile shortblock, un ported GT 40 heads, stock cam and an untouched cobra intake. My car weighed in at 3192 last night, so I have about 40# to lose for WFC this year.
My first and only good pass without rice water all over the track was:
1.71 60 ft
8.015 1/8
85.9 mph 1/8
10.46 1000'
12.55 1/4
108.11 mph 1/4
I am running an auto with a 4,500 stall with lock up and was sitting on the rev limiter around the last 50-100'. The air was okay with the temp in the high 60's, but the humidity had to be pretty high and I have not found out corrected elevation.
The suspension feels like it is unloading. I am running Southside lift bars, southside boxed uppers, comp engineering shocks, and stock springs with bags on both sides.
Anyone have any ideas or opinions that could be helpful with what to do about the rev limiter or rear suspension.
I really need to knock around 3 tenths off.
