i have that same march set up w/ my powermaster alternator, except i had to use the pulley on the alternator, not the one w/ the kit. works great w/ my meziere electric waterpump.
Well I got my kit fabricated, but am having a hard time finding a belt to fit. I measured 31.5", checked Advance, NAPA, Carquest, etc. Can you order odd sizes online somewhere?
None of the belt manufacturers I have dealt with make a 6 rib belt in that small of a length. Almost all of the parts stores stock 4 rib belts in the length you need and around it.
i used the moroso kit which relocated the alternator down real close to the crank, so the best was really short. you can see pics if you click on the link in the sig
I fabbed up my own using a alternator bracket off of a 79-81 Datsun B210 4 banger (buddy of mine had it laying around..just happened to work) and a piece of aluminum tubing cut to fit as a spacer. The bracket bolts the one of the waterpump bolts. I was using a 26-28" 4 rib belt..couldn't find a 6 rib that short anywhere locally. You can sorta see my setup in this pic.
well I got a 32.5" gates belt from carquest. Had to make an extra bracket for the upper alternator tab, similar to the kit summit makes. If I could find a 31.5 or 31" I could run the heim joint right to the alt tab, oh well. Here's the setup... home.insightbb.com/~drew.lyons/alternator.jpg
