Please forgive me if I'm posting I the wrong area. I'm looking for a parts list for a coyote swap in a Fox. I can't find much put together info just bits and pieces. I would like to know if anyone has put power steering and ac. I just finished my 93 Cobra build. I love the car but after buying my wife a 14 I'm really wanting that smoothness of a coyote but the looks of a fox.

I spent hours and hours and hours researching what parts to use. The info is spread out all over the net. It's not really all in one place.

Here's the thread where I posted about my swap, started out asking questions for first page or so and then started posting about my progress. It's a worthwhile swap. I also have a 13' Boss 302 and it's what completely sold me on the Coyote.

I've never posted this, but I kept track of a majority of the parts and part #'s that I used. This would have saved me A LOT of time when I started. Here you go:

What parts can be eliminated if I do an AOD tranny? Also, does this cover power steering and brakes and air conditioning as well?

Thanks

I agree. I looked everywhere online and in forums on sites. I wish there was one list for doing a Coyote swap. I have a 1981 T-top coupe project that I want to do this swap into. Right now I am in body work phase.

I want to know the best K member for the swap. There are so many out there. Then I see Sean Hyland have complete motor packages but they all offer a/c. I just want p/s and alt. Then I want to swap in a T56 so I guess I need new trans member and possably new mounts also.

And I love the look of your 5.0Lfox....

I started my build thread with a parts list of everything I used including part numbers. It will change from one car to another depending on what you have that can be used as well as what you want for accessories.

As for the k mem. That will change as well. Want flex or no flex? Super light weight to go straight or extra strong for the corners?

Hey FLF, you have one incredible fox body! I was always a big fan of your 347/YSI combo, and I know you are planning on boosting your coyote swap. Any thoughts on what kind of blower/turbo you are planning on going with? It seems 8urz06 is having pretty good results with his coyote swap and procharger blower set up. Any thoughts?

Yessir, I'd like to boost it. Especially since I went with the 9.5:1 Aluminator. However, I really can't settle on a kit....

Vortech - Doesn't make a Fox setup yet. The 2011-up kit requires a lot of fabrication as it sits way too high for a Fox hood, even with a cowl hood.

Whipple/ TVS - This would be a nice street setup. Again, the inlet doesn't clear a Fox hood. It would require major hood fabrication that I don't want to get into. Plus, the Whipple detracts a lot from the natural beauty of the Coyote motor, IMO.

Procharger - Would be the easiest bolt-on route. However, I just can't get over the looks of it. Sits funny in the engine bay and the air inlet is just atrocious the way it sits on the driver side coil cover. No disrespect to anyone running this setup, just my personal thoughts.

Turbo - May consider this route. Would need expensive fabricated turbo headers but it would be very nice. Lots of torque and could be made to look pretty decent.

The best scenario would be if Vortech came out with a Fox-specific kit. I love the looks of a satin black Vortech on a Coyote. Or even better, a Paxton 2200 HU :)

^ he has the power steering bracket and master cylinder listed above. AOD requires a different bellhousing I believe plus some cutting (I think 87coupe used an AOD - check his thread).

I don't think AC has been completed on one of these swaps yet. There will be added cost and parts. Power by the Hour makes a bracket that will accommodate AC.

TKO has an OSS sensor port. I bought an oss sensor plugged it in and ran that to the Control pack. Are you sure the T56 doesn't have an OSS? I did a good write up of this in my build thread somewhere. Think I even had a link to the pics showing the difference with OSS and VSS. If you only have VSS you may need the converter that Ford Racing sells.

There is a pic of the filter and sway bar here (as well as some other eye candy): testimonials2

I did not relocate the mounts and the filter comes out just fine.

Great info here,
What do the guys that want to maintain a well handling street car do for front sway bars? I Have read different things about using an SN95 sway bar in a fox or can you use fox sway bar, Im currently doing the engine bay smoothing and wondering if I should do anything to the current mounts, or just work around them.

I Have read different things about using an SN95 sway bar in a fox or can you use fox sway bar.
I had my Coyote Swap done by a shop, in my '91 vert. The car is set up for road racing. We used the fox sway bar with SN95 mounts. I was not able to use the FRPP power steering bracket & Boss alternator, as the PS would interfere. I had to go with Power by the Hour SN95 swap kit.
I have a thread and a blog, plus YouTube videos.

Thanks replay..I have been reading a lot about your alls swap. I'm doing the irs swap too. I appreciate the info. Really wish there was a local car I could look over so I don't do something later I have to undo or don't get something done that I have to later do.

No problem. When your doing the swap, contact me with any questions. Or I can get you in touch with the shop. During my swap, we contacted a couple of guys online that did it. We had a few questions, and it was very helpful.

That was my alternator which was the 96-04 mustang alt. Sending it back for warranty. Pbh said people are using the same alternator in road race cars seeing 7400+ rpm. I must of gotten a faulty alt. My alt. broke inside and seized up. Found chunks of wire under the hood from it. Happened at about 7000 rpm.

I had to space my swaybar down 1" with the pbh brackets to clear the powersteering pump. Just used some aluminum 1x2" rectangular tubing. Not sure if the swaybar will clear an a/c pump though, l used an a/c delete pulley for now.
