I am thinking about doing this swap instead of my turbo 347. Did you keep your sway bar? I was told it doesn't work with this engine. Also will be using mm k member if I do the swap so the stock oil pan works. I would be using the boost ready engine and probly go with a roush supercharger. Do you think a supercharger would fit with a small cowl hood? My other concern is the manual brakes as I plan on driving my car alot I would think they would get annoying after awhile. How do you like them?

DON'T get the boost engine!!! Why start with less power? I will turbo mine eventually, there is no reason to start with lower compression. Plenty of GTs with that high compression running boost. Any decent tuner/shop will tell you to start with the N/A motor and then add boost.

I did keep the sway bar and it fits just fine.

I don't think any cowl hood would fit a roots style blower. Front of the motor is already close in clearance.

I'm not done with the brakes yet, right now, they suck. Give me some time to work out the issues and I'm sure they will be fine.

I am limited to 91 octane fuel where I live. Not sure how safe the 11 to 1 comp. with boost would be with the stock engine. Will be looking into it more and calling some tuners. Thanks for the info.

It doesn't look like there is any room but do you think you could fit a 3.5" downpipe anywhere?

Details on what's needed for the 05-14 seat swap in a fox please?

Also bad ass car, can't wait to see it finished.

Finally got some decent weather. I was all ready to take the car out only to find a dead battery. Thankfully it was just the battery.

Got it charged just before sundown and was able to get some more pics.

Still need a few more nice days so I can get the new top installed.

But later in the heat of the summer , driving in heavy traffic with a closed hood, your PCM will not like the placement of the air intake . When the IAT's climb the PCM will pull timing and prolly dump fuel to cool the cylinder head . No doubt hotter IAT's will affect WOT as well
Been noticing other swaps and it seems that most have the intake tube the same way I do. I would think if this style was problematic there would be some internet talk of it.

This thing is sooooo much fun!!!! Had a blast today. A/F was perfect, thing just screams, yet so tame at idle/cruising. So different from my old pushrod/procharger set up.

I stopped several times to check the intake tube and filter, they were cold. I think there is plenty of air flow up there. As cold as they were after all the fun I was having today, I think it will be fine, but I'll keep checking as the temps go up through summer.

Once I figure out the brakes it'll be even better. Car moves out in a hurry and I want to make sure I can slow it down just as fast. Have a few things to try and then maybe a new master.

This swap did so much for drivability. Besides the better driving/idling/noise(quiet) characteristics of the motor, the clutch engages better and sooner off the floor(same style clutch CF dual friction) and that solid steering shaft is worlds better at road communication and straight line tracking. Car idles at 850, and at 65mph turns 1800 RPMs. As docile as this car drives around town, I'm starting to care less and less how fast the car is (though I still think it'll run close to the same number it used to).

Very nice! Sorry if I missed it, are you using a stock coyote ecu, or aftermarket? Anything special to get the stock tack to work?
