SOLD!!!
Here is a set of Canfield/Avenger 192cc cylinder heads that are complete but not assembled. Everything about the heads are great except the valve guides because they will need replacing. After 5yrs of flawless performance,i decided to pull the heads for freshening up and the machine shop i was using at the time installed the wrong size guides(.002 too small). I didn't know it until after i had installed them and put about 2k miles on them. The car was running flawless when i decided to pull the intake for a cam swap and that's when i noticed the guides had moved. I bought these brand new in 1997 from Troy Bowen at Ford Performance Solutions. These heads on my stock shortblock along with a custom roller cam from FPS and a Extrude Honed 93 Cobra intake ran 11.80's@115mph. I've had 3 high end machine shops look at them and each one said all they need are new bronze guides at a cost between $200-$300. They have 2.02/1.60 valves,58cc chambers,3/8 ARP studs, never been decked, never ran HOT,have about 10k street miles and no bolt holes are stripped. They are not ported but only cartridge rolled sanded. I really hate to sale them because they are killer heads but they are just collecting dust in my shop. I can email more pics if someone wants more.
I'll take $400 shipped for them and i have PayPal also.

The exhaust ports are raised some but not alot. I ran MAC 1 5/8 long tubes with ZERO problems with fitting, hitting or rubbing anything. The springs were just checked last week and they will hold up to .600 lift safely.

any part numbers on them? Do they say canfield on the ends?
can sign of cracking around the spark plugs?

i'm interested but a little nervous about how much it could potentially end up costing(between the guides and i can't find any fitment info for headers for my truck)

On the valve cover rail it says Avenger on one end and has the part# 1296-1071 on the other. It does not say Canfield on the ends because these were the very first ones made by Canfield for Troy Bowen at Ford Performance Solutions. They were made for FPS under the Avenger name but Canfield decided to sale there version with there name CNC'd on the ends. The heads are exactly the same. There are ZERO cracks around the spark plug holes or anywhere else on the heads. The exhaust ports are raised .400 and stock replacement headers were never a problem fitting on my mustang or hitting anything.

Hate to be a pita, but do you know the spring closed / open pressures and installed height / coil bind ? I know you said .600 safely, I have a .622 lift cam and am hopeful they would be good, and not have to spend a couple hundred more for springs. Serious buyer, Thanks.

I didn't get all that info from my machinest, sorry about that. They are double springs with a damper on the inside. I did run a X-303 cam with 1.7 rockers on them with no problems pulling 6500rpm with no valve float if that helps any. I got 4-5 guys PMing me wanting the heads but no one has paid yet. First person that pays get's them. Thanks for looking, Don.
