Without driving home through Boston lunch-hour traffic, I can't tell you the exact location. However, if the originals are still on your car, just put scotch tape around the edges of the old one and line the edges of the new one up to the tape.

 

I wish it did but the car hasnt had emblems in forever.

Great question. I have been thinking about putting 5.0 emblems back on my car but have not yet. It would be great to know the exact factory placement.

 

In my honest opinion, I do not think there is an "exact" location because I think they put them on in a little bit different positions from the factory. But unlike a lot of other people's Foxes I see, they DO NOT go way up like 7 or 8 inches on the fender. They sit down near the beltline, maybe AN INCH above the mouldings, CENTERED, although it is okay if they sit back toward the door a little more. That is how they are on my original paint GT, that has them in the correct spots.

Depending on how accurate you are, trying to be it is either: 2 inches from the rear of the fender and 1 above the top of the body line, not the GT moulding.

Or 2" in from fender and 1-1/16" from the top of the bodyline.

From the fender opening to the "O" is 2" and from the top of the molding to bottom of "O" is 1 5/8" on drivers side.Mine is a VIN tag original paint car.
