Can ANYBODY answer this K-member question?

My main question is are the Fox body K-members the same as the SN95 (5.0) K-members?

There is an ad in Summit Racing for a tubular K-member that fits '79-'95 Mustangs. Since there is only one part number, does that mean that this K-member will bolt up in either car (Fox body or SN95 body), meaning that the holes are in the same locations on both body styles, meaning a fox body K-member would fit in an SN95 body style, right?

I beg to differ I have a tube k-member from my 87 fit perfectly into my 94.
I switched the brakes and everything from my 87 to the 94 I cannot say that it would fit the 96 or newer but it will fit the 94-95.

I don't think the K member itself is different, just the length of the A Arms is different. The SN has about 1.5 inch longer a arms than the fox. the mouting spots are all the same as the fox. The QA1 piece will work for you but beware that they usually have fit issues. you might be better off with a UPR or D&D K in that price range. if you want to put up the $$, AJE is the way to go.

no

from what I have seen, the 2 K's are not the same, they may mean both are the same price.
That's what I would have thought, but it has only 1 part number, meaning it is a single unit (one model).

OK, then how exactly are they different. I'm not doubting anyone, I'm just trying to find out how they are different if they are.

Also guys, I used the tubular K-member as an example, we would be using a stock K-member from a Fox body because of the many that are available. If we were going to use a tubular K-member, we would just get the one for the '94-'95 body style.

Thanks,
Frank

I just bought the aje k member. I had rad that this one was the only one that did not have fitment problems. Can Anyone confirm that this k member fits without any problems

Here's one for you to consider, I bought the QA1 from Summit, installed it in a '00 V6 car and the dropped a 347 in it, no problems (suprises) at all.

D&D used to have separate models for Fox and SN-95. As a matter of fact, when I tried to buy one from them for my '95, they didn't have any in stock and couldn't make any more (this was in '98, maybe early '99) They were in the process of switching over to a one-size-fits-all design. They sent me a Fox style k member, said to justy elongate the rear mounting holes and it would fit. That was far from the truth, it wasn't even close, had to send it back.

I think the QA1 is a good enough piece, especially when you consider the low cost.

well i already ordered one from aje, and now i am begining to worry. Damn these 94-95 cars. I love them, but soooooooooo many difficulties!!!!!!

AJE makes good k-members. You shouldn't have any problems with it.

I use a QA1 K. It works fine. There are no fitment problems. I ordered mine from Summit and had it price matched for $218. There is only one part # and it does fit with no "hole olongation". It also came with good instructions.
