Cable. Works fine, is cheap and is stock equipment on mustangs.

After having to pull the tranny out of my '94 Exploder with a failed (leaking) throw-out bearing - my vote is cable also. Another reason is (to me) is that you get much better pedal "feel" with a cable. Hydraulic is easy and smooth, but you don't get any real feedback like you do with the "direct connect."

Oh - and by your avitar - your car and shop look cool! Good luck!

Stock is cable

Although i'm currently researching on converting to a hydraulic setup using as TC pedal setup and aftermarket slave cylinder designed for the t-5

This is a matter of opinion, but after have a Stage 3 spec clutch i would go with hydraulic. From what i have found on the ford ranger v8 site, you can use a mid 80s ranger clutch master cylinder & a slave cylinder off of a 78ish 280z. I am waiting for my extra tranny to be returned to start making it. You still get to retain the stock throwout bearing so no problems there.
