Alright, so heres my problem. I have a 1993 notch back and some bullit wheels that I want to put on. Im pretty sure they are the bigger bullits from 2005+, but ive heard of people running them on foxes with minor rubbing issues. The current tire on them is 235/55 R17, and looking at it, even if I use rack limiters to not get them to rub, my turning radius would be barley anything. I understand that rack limiters will obviojsly hurt turning radius, but this would be very excessive. My question is what are some smaller tire sizes that I would be able to fit on these wheels? I know on the earlier bullet rims they ran 245/45 R17s, but im not sure if that will be quite enough to get it to minor rubbing with rack limiters. The car is also lowered in the front about 1.5", so i get that that can also cause even more issues. Let me know your opinions, thanks in advance.

i have a set of 97 sunflowers on my 87. I run a 245 17 with back spacers on the front. You cant balance the tires on the inside lip or the a arm will clip it off. no limiters but i had considered running them, i just give it 100% throttle and walk it around. J/k. For the rear you may need to roll the fenders with a fender roller, each car is different. I can run 275's on the rear no rubbing no fender roll on a lowered car.

I had the wheels at full lock in the underneath photos, loaded the suspension. one of the photos is still a link for some reason. it comes really really close to the frame. the last picture shows where the wheel rubbed the a arm at one time, I know for sure that's where it sheers off the outer rim weights.

The issue is the rims, not the tires. Well, it's also the tires...but even with the proper 245/45/17 tires, the wheels simply sit too far inwards.

2005+ wheels have deeper backspacing, so when you mount them on a fox, they tuck very far inwards. Compared to Sn95 wheels, they are almost 1" deeper.

On the front this is an issue because the wheel is closer to the axis of rotation, so there is simply less of an arc it can make before it hits something.

Solutions are to sell them and get SN95 bullitts, or install 1" spacers front and rear.

Secondary, the proper tire size when running a 17x8 wheel on a fox is a 245/45/17. This keeps the wheel in the factory 25.7" diameter. The 2005+ tires are much larger in diameter.

I had a set of 03-04 bullitt wheels on my car with 245/45/17's for a few months. They fit well with no rubbing. One limiter on each side of the rack up front

That's what I'm saying though, i have spacers on the front, and they are just barley rubbing on the outside edge of the tire when turning, so im wondering if going to something like a 245/45 17 is going to make a difference.
