I have a 79 Mustang Pace Car that had various mods done to it over the years by different owners. The rear brakes lock up before the front ones engage, giving new meaning to the term "panic stop."
The master cylinder is stock, as well as the porportioning valve. The rear end is a complete drum to drum 8.8 from motorsport. The front discs are 10 inch, possibly from a late 80's cougar (so the previous owner told me.)
My first thought was to purchase an adjustable valve, but the front brakes don't apply any pressure (drag) whatsoever, until you step on the pedal. In every other car I ever had, there was always some drag on the front wheels. You could turn them by hand, but the wheels on this car spin freely.
Before I go out and start buying parts and guessing at the problem I'd like to get some input from other users here. Any help would greatly be apperciated.
Thanks in advance,
