Borla Stingers...

Still comparing chambered to straight thru... 2 different sounds.

with a Mac off-road H pipe... you might as well stay with the Flows... or maybe go to a louder flowmaster (super 44, or series 10 one chamber)

Stingers sound good... but ive only heard them in person on my friends Termi and it sports an o/r Pro-Chamber

Chambered reflects the soundwaves around to try and dissipate them or turn them "out of phase" to cancel sound out... makes it sound kinda "burpy" at idle...

Sure, the Borla's are straight thru, but they have a massive amount of sound deadening material wrapped around that straight pipe... lots of crap to absorb sound...

Flowmaster has no sound absorbing material...

If you want straight thru AND loud, you might as well go straight-pipe, or Borla Stinger, Magnaflow Magnapacks, DynoMax Race Bullit, or just some Cherry Bomb glasspacks... any of those will be straight and loud.

Anything straight thru with a conventional sized muffler case (Borla XS, Magnaflow, Dynomax UltraFlow, etc, etc) Will be quiet because of the amount of absorbing material they can fit in that big case.

Thanks for the help 1hot,

I understand it alot better now. Which would be the next step up for the borlas.kinda in between the Xs and the stingers. I no i am limited with loud and sounding like a$$ due to me running the o/r h pipe. What would you guys suggest to get me a little louder then what i currently have.

If you haven't heard Pypes Violators... check'em out on youtube...

Its a similar design to Dynomax UltraFlo and Borla XS... but louder.

A good brand that sounds great with an Off-road H-Pipe, is SpinTech Super Pro Streets 9000 series...

I know asking what muffler sounds the best is like asking what kind of underwear is the best... but I like my super 44's. I also like the Hooker Aerochamber. It's a strait through chambered muffler. Best of both worlds if you want to be different.
