I was wondering how well it preformed and if it is a good cam? Just looking at the specs it looks close to the Trick Flow stage 1 if you put 1.7's on it.

I did a search about it and really only found one person who didn't care for it. said it was weak down low. Is it weak down low NA?

I have one. 302 N/A, 6037's, 1.7s, 3.73. It's ok by me, maybe a tad soft everywhere (the torque curve feels Kansas-flat all the way to redline). I never noticed a dramatic absence of low-end. I'm still dialing it in and suspect that it needs more compression. I installed it 4* retarded which may have been a mistake.
There's an interesting thread about it on Stangnet right now, and I believe TMoss has some dyno results on his web site.

What are the other parts of the build? Heads? Gear? Don't expect miracles from the cam if it's a vert with 2.73 gears and stock heads. >:p

According to Steeda you're suppose to install it straight up not retarded or advanced. I installed that cam in my car & I called them up for the info, maybe that's why your torque curve feels flat.

I already have the motor together I just dont want to be disappointed and have to go change it.

Twisted Wedge heads, Steeda #19, ported Cobra lower, 1.7's. 3.73 gear AODE

I have the intention of power adder in 6 moths or so. I think the cam would take nicely to spray.

Yeah I had to measure everything because my heads were shaved and the deck on the block was cut to 0.

There is a compairson graph up on stangnet now of Trick FLow Stage 1 and the Steeda #19. I didn't think the steeda did to bad.

My buddy has a #19 in his SN-95, N/A with Y-303 heads, TFS intake, ect... 3.73 gears

It seems to run pretty good with absolutely fantastic throttle response and good low and mid range torque. It also is a great cam for the computer issues that haunt the SN-95's

That's encouraging. My son is getting ready to install a Steeda #18 cam in his N/A carbed 85GT. The #18 is the same identical cam as the #19 except the #18 has a lobe sep. of 112 and the #19 has a lobe sep. of 115. The wider sep is what makes the #19 get along with the 94-95 computers. We thought the tighter 112 sep of the #18 might be better for a non-computered carbed 5.0. He's using 1.7 rocker also so the lift will be .510/.510

I think the wide LSA is the primary factor for it being flat, which is not the same as being soft. I have a 110 LSA cam in my Ranger and it has a very different character: Very good in a narrow range. In that regard, I like the #19. It's easy to drive.
Also look at Final5-0's comparison.

Yes, I need to either reset mine or bring the compression up to compensate for the late intake closing. I'm doing the latter first and the heads are sitting here on the floor waiting to be milled.
