Looking into intalling a Comp Cam (232/240 .565/.574) into a
342 stroker with SRP flatop pistons with valve releifs. Will be using 1.6RR. Also using TFS Twisted Wedge. Any clearance issues?
Trying to avoid taking out head for 'clay' test.

Trickflow says the heads are fine with .542 inch lift with 224 duration with stock 87up heads... for what that is worth. I figure it would all depend on your reliefs. How much lift are your springs rated at as well? You might have enough clearance but if the springs aren't suited to the cam you might have some floating with your valves and pistons playing an ugly game of tag. It is a pain to check the clearances- but far less expensive than the alternative.... Good luck!

I upgraded the springs to dual (track heat level). They mention it is good to .600 lift. What do you think, anyone?
