i bought a new B&M hammer, installed it, worked it thru the gears, took it out and reinstalled the stocker! those SUCK! i didnt even finish installing the console!
i had a b&m hammer with a c4 in my first car and liked the looks a lot, but was not a fan of ratcheting to drive all the time. looked sharp, clean install, but was a pain to work with.
Here is how mine is in my car. The previous owner had his shifter mounted here so I fingered I would try it out first. I like this much better than in the original shifter location. My other car was set up like that with the boot covering the shifter. For me it was not as comfortable comfortable as the way I have it set up now.
When you use the Quarter stick do you have to get the aod bracket from them too that mounts to the trans? I am doing a 4r70w swap in my fox body and I need a shifter. I have the stock cable from the 4r70 trans can I use that or do I need the cable that comes with the quarter stick?
I like the look of the quarter stick in the 5 speed boot.
tci outlaw in my car with an AOD. love it. probably my favorite thing i ever did to the car.
i'd like to get a plate machined to cover the hole but for now i'll keep the 5 speed boot on it.
