I have a chance to buy an electric fan off of a 95 Cobra that had 35k miles. It states those fans run 3800 cfm. I currently have a 91 LX 5.0. Is this going to be a good option since the fan is only $50 or should I go with a Mark VIII fan or something else. My thought is the Cobra fan will bolt up better to my radiator. Anyone who has done this, please let me know. Also, with a DC Controller that everyone talks about, are they worth the money? Do I need to upgrade my alternator? What is the best way/most cost effective way to upgrade my alternator? Is a stock 94-95 alternator going to bolt right in? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

That fan should work just fine. You'll want a 130A alternator. Best to control with something that does so by varying current and speed of the fan -- I use one of these -- http://www.dccontrol.com/0820.htm (click on 'fan control' and look at the Fk35 kit).
