OK so heres my problem i traded my sonoma for a 94 5.0-5-speed a few weeks ago and for the last 3 weeks or so every so often when im really bangin gears ill get a huge exhaust backfire that actually shoots flames all the way out the exhaust in any given gear the car is stock with 4.10s flomaster mufflers (not a catback) 2nd set of cats removed and a short throw i figure a tuneup and such would be a good place to start but does anyone else have any other ideas

Mine does the same thing also, i think its because my car runs rich, but im not sure. It does it usually when the motor is still cold and not up to complete operating temperature. I havent seen the flames myself, but my friends in other cars next to me have said that my car shoots flames, all i hear is the explosion.
