I'm looking for a fuel rail option for my 302. I'm looking to make 500 on a Rebuilt 302 I would reuse my stock rails but they were rusted in half and unusable so rails are a must. But budget options are needed I already have a fuel pressure regulator if that helps making a selection.

What are you running for an intake assembly?
Had problems with fuel rails on a Trickflow set up because they hit the underside of the air plenum. I did not have enough hood clearance on the Mustang 94 351W with an aftermarket hood to add a 3/8" spacer between the plenum and intake.
Had to grind into the cast plenum to add clearance.

My gut feeling is if you want 500HP out of a 302 you are going to have to make a lot of changes including cam, heads, intake, fuel injectors, possibly also a higher capacity fuel pump.

This will get you HP but if you expect longevity you also need to change crank, rods and pistons. The factory 302 block is not designed for 500HP. A factory 351W rotating assembly is a better option for 500HP but you still need to upgrade the the heads and intake.

Once you decide what to do for the intake and fuel injectors, you should look for a fuel rail which will fit them. The length of the fuel injector and clearance under the intake plenum may limit the choices for fuel rails as it did for mine.

I have the trickflow/aeromotive rails on my 302. There is a 1/2" intake spacer that I had before so not sure if it is needed for them but I don't think it is. The only fitment issues I have is I have to mount the drivers side while pushing the rail back towards the firewall so that I have JUST enough space for the dist to turn to tune.

Your best bet for hood clearance is the sn95 cobra upper with any gt40 style lower. It is the shortest; not only on overall height (explorer uses a fox body throttle body adding 1/2 inch on the top for the throttle position sensor) but the built in elbow makes it shorter to the side. If you cannot find one; use an explorer upper with a trick flow 70mm sn95 elbow adapter and matching sn95 throttle body. Definitely port out the gt40 style lower manifold. Definitely use sn95 fuel rails. Measurements are all over forums and I have verified this in my garage.

...BTW what minivan is that?
