No accidents and no panels were replaced. I carfaxed it before I bought it and milage is true and never any accidents. The intire car has been painted due to orginal paint was faded as the last owner told me.

Yeah the orginal owner had some BS story that it was a true V8 car, but as for the VIN it is a 4cyl car. If it is a converstion they did a very good job and is 100%. Iam not going to BS anybody so as per the vin its a 4cyl.

look i dont know who fv#cked who, but this is getting "fishy". as a potential buyer and other potential buyers on here the truth better be told

good lord, who cares if it was originally a V8 or 4 cyl car?

as long as the conversion was done right.......

Thank you, it is what it is. Somebody needs to come down and see the car and drive it. The VIN states it as a 4cyl. If somebody came and looked at it and drove it they could never tell the diffrence. Any questions please ask.

First of all, it's a great looking car. Now whether or not it matters if it was a conversion, it certainly does. It makes all the difference in the world to someone looking for an original survivor car.

If you're just looking for a Fox to mod and have fun with it's not so important.
Personally, the story about Ford sending a factory V8 car to a dealership with a 4 cylinder VIN is BS. They would be opening themselves up for any number of lawsuits from the owners of the car to the Federal government. That just isn't a believable story.
I can see the conversation with a guy at the dealership or at Ford headquarters being guided by whoever called them. "Is it possible that it left the factory like this ?" Ford rep. , "I guess anything is possible." Guy makes his mind up that it happened.:shakehead

Who did this guy talk to ? A salesman ? A General Manager ? A Ford Factory Rep. ? A guy who worked on a production line ?

I posted it as a notch with a 5.0L, I never stated it was an orginal V8 car orginal 5 speed car, etc. The reason is because I myself "thought" it could be. If anybody has a question of it being a converstion please look at the car in person and you will understand. I have been thru this car from top to bottom, front to back and it looks like somebody took there time and swapped EVERYTHING over. If the VIN is needed I have no problem posting it and YES the 8th digit will come up as a 4cyl car, yes the title I got with the car listed it as a 8cyl car on the title but that means nothing I understand that.

I do realize that the VIN saying it has a 4cyl and now the car is equiped with a 8cyl could be an issue in some states with inspection.

Look the price I posted is an asking price, I know this is not the time to sell cars so Iam flexible with the price. I will say thought if it dosnt sell its no big deal. Iam not tring to off a turd or scam somebody, iam just tring to sell a clean looking and running notch.
thanks
Erik

I told him all there is to know about the car,he came to look at it,spent about an hour an a half in/out and under the car, took it around the block, and he loaded it on his trailer, hes a ford mechanic,so how exactly did I dupe (learn how to spell)him you moron, lol, you need to stop f$!@ing up his thread and being the true corral post w$@re you are ,4k plus posts a few of which you were actually involved, others stating your p$#s poor OPINIONS.As Erik said it is what it is ,read the ad,decide if your interested,if not, move on.Im sure youll continue to post as thats what you do,but maybe ,just maybe youll leave his for sale ad alone:rolleyes:

my grammar and my 4,xxx post have nothing to do with FACTS, that you are clearly not stating. stop trying to deviate. i wouldnt be surprised if the car had 154k miles. new trans? new paint, new everything at soo little miles?? you must think people are as dumb as yourself. ford mass produces millions upon millions of cars and yet this came from ford as a v8 but titled as a 4cyl? please...

you were even called out in your original f/s thread...nice!

the title states actual mileage and the carfax proves it,those are the facts, car was redone before I bought it,so all I know is what I was told from previous owner,so basically, your calling us liars, and Erik stupid, for what the owner before us said.this thread is your wetdream, had to round that post count out, lol.get a life

FYI, in NY state you can take an original 4cyl car and do a V8 conversion. You can go thru an inspection process and have it retitled as a V8 car. This allows the car to meet the proper emissions, prevent fraud etc... Sounds like a car that went thru that process. Just an FYI, bump for a dude trying to sell his ride:cool:

That's completely different than someone stating a car left the factory with a 4 cylinder VIN and a 5.0 under the hood. (6rider did not say this btw)

Many states allow V8 conversions as long as all emissions equipment is present and working.

6rider, sorry to add to the clutter in your for sale thread, but stuff like this always sparks interest and debate.
G/L with the sale. Whatever it started life as, it's a damn nice car.

Is it just me...or Doesn't the Vacumun Tree Give it away?

Other ad stated Not a Conversion Car.............

Still a Nice Car....but If its a converions car then its more like a $5000.00 Car with no mods...

If it was all orginally V-8 I would Say $7000.00 is not out of Reach...
