My buddy is trying to figure how Saleen wheels will look on his vert hes trying to buy this week. Im not even so sure they will fit. The car isnt lowered right now but is 5lug conversion. The wheels are 18x10r and 18x9f with 295/30 or 35's in the rear and 265/40's in front. I know the wheel lips will have to be rolled..but he does want to lower it back down some. I really dont think the rears will clear on a vert but i could be wrong. Anyone have any pics or tried it?

Thanks, Vince

I got a 89 vert and have 18x9 Saleens. I have the fox length rear axles and sn95 width on the front. If you have a sn95 conversion you cannot lower it with out the correct fitment wheels. The stick out 3/4 inch, they fit fine on un lowered cars like mine but if you wanna lower it with Saleens, prepare for some work. Im actually gonna change my wheels because Im anal about fitment, if sticking out dont bother him, then he will be fine, but not lowered........

they changed the fenders in 1991, i believe or maybe even 1990. they are wider than the previous version.

fronts will fit fine, just dont slam it. rears will have to have the fenders roll with a 275

i had the quads off before the wheels were on, but you might be able to get away with flipping the quad shocks. tires in the rear were 275/35/18 fronts were 245/35/18. fronts were a little stretched looking. 255 would've been better

tire size is 245/35/18 front,275/35/18 back(looks like I will put a bigger tire on the front,I have the room) on 18x9 wheels. The car has coils overs in front and back...so I don`t remember the drop on it right now. As for the quad shocks there out.The lips are getting rolled just to keep the tires safe.Hope the info helps.

i'll tell ya what, i mounted a 17x9.5 w/ a 275 on the rear and it's very close. a 10" rim would be too close for comfort without mini-tubbing the rear or having the rim/tire itself stick out past the fender
