Here's a pic of a 12" rim with offset control arms,i think your ok.

 

So you had a 5.5in backspacing and then had the widen it? I might be able to send my UPR arms back to get an offset set but were did you get yours from?

 

Mine had a 6.12 off set,control arms are from Team Z.

 

I assume you mini tubbed the car as well.

 

Are you both running the Team Z minitub?

What offset wheel did you buy before you widened them? I beleive the 5.5 backspacing is what I want in an 8'' wheel

 

The OEM 10th Anniversary wheel is a 9" wide 36mm offset wheel.

If you plan on going with an 8" factory Mustang wheel, I think the closest you'll get to 5.5" BS is the 5.72" BS on all 17x8 SN-95 wheels, which have a 30mm offset.

 

Well the street wheels will be 03/04 Cobra wheels and stock they need a slight spacer, but the set on kill wheels will be either racelites or Greg Welds

 

If i were you i would buy the rims and tires that you want to put on, after you did your mini tub,then you can measure the distance between the rims so you know how much you will need to cut off the housing.I will have two rear ends,one for my street tires and one for my drag lite rims that will have a 5.5 back spacing on a 12" rim with a 325 MT.
