I see this thread brought out all the morons who only read half a post.

The dyno settings are WAY off.
93mph in the 1/8 could be 100 more rwhp than 268.

I think the settings are off OR you are showing us a graph of a 302.

A 180cc MINIMUM?!? How did you figure that one out?
Why is 180 the magic number? What if he only had 179?

Keep reading MM&FF . . .

Here is a 347 I ported the E7s on

Its too bad you are a complete idiot.
Maybe he didn't have the funds to finish the project.
Either way, all he has to do is put some decent heads on it, finish it with the supporting hardware and make close to 400rwhp with the EXACT same shortblock.

Go to sbftech. I am sure they would love you.
he already is.
whats wrong with sbf?

No offense, but 302 parts make 302 power. You have a major bottle neck in the heads that I know of. I am not into EFI, but that probably will hurt it too. The mph definately seems off from the power the dyno says. IMO I would start saving my pennys for new heads and intake.

Dyno numbers sound way off unless the car only weighs 2600lbs. I make 100 more hp than you and only ran a 7.7 @92. My car does have a stiff street suspension, weighs 3200lbs, 3.73 gear and is not setup for drag racing but damn thats a quick car if it does only make 260rwhp.

fast pony, dont let your cage get rattled. as stated earlier with your 1/8 mile time, but more importantly the mph in the 1/8 its more than obvious your well past 300rwhp. That time would be a mid 11 in the 1/4 no problem. That was on a dyno jet and operator error can be huge. Usually you see it the other way around, when they're trying to give the numbers a boost. Was the operator trying to talk you into getting it tuned by him, if so beware. Their is a local tuner in my area who is well known for trying to pull people in that way. It took another tuner to expose it. If your car is over 3000 lbs you're making great power for that combo.

The dyno Is way off I gather. I made 390 h.p. with my 337 and It runs 7.30-7.40's in the 1/8 at 93 m.p.h. 11.60's at 118 in the 1/4. With a T-5 In your car you have to be real close to 400 at the wheels judging from your track times.

Thanks for the comments. It is in a 91 coupe at the moment, and as one guy started i might of got a 306, well its is for sure a 347 cuz my brother put it together for him and i bought it off him, all work except machince work has been done by us. I am not sure bout what the car weighs. I was just worried bout the numbers cuz driving the car feels un godly and we went to the dyno for 3 pulls witht he wide band ill get a pic of the air fuel ratio up latter on today. I was just confused

F U C K the Dyno numbers that is a quick car and that is all that matters. Run some of these chumps with their 302s that are all hopped up on Dyno numbers but still in the 13s :) Your car is easy mid 11s

Yeah, I have never ran it but it shuld get 11's easy. Its goign to be in a 88 Hatch LX, and it will have alot more suspension than the car it is in now. THe car its in now only has control arms, slatter bars, sub frames connectors and a k member kit.

I will have double adjustable uppers and lowers from UPR with the double adjustable anti-roll bar, sub frames front k member kit ect ect

it will have a 3:73 in it tho. How big of a diffrent do you think that will make?? It has a 4:3X in it now i belive its a 438

I feel the same as what other's have said, ignore the dyno numbers. The track time and mph tells the tale here. 93 in the 8th isn't too shabby.

Its probably = to a mid 11 at 115-117; depending on the weight of the vehicle.

I think this is a BS post!!!!! In the first post, you say : The best to date is 7.38 at like 93.99 MPH I get good 60 ft times, 1.50's 1.49's Its a 5 speed a t-5 that shuld have broke along time ago. I run 10" slicks i have welded in sub frames, granatelli tubular k member with coil overs, with street springs 90/10's it had sum control arms that really didnt make a diffrent when i put them on cept the wheel hop... It just doesnt add up to me.:

Now you are saying this : Yeah, I have never ran it but it shuld get 11's easy. Its goign to be in a 88 Hatch LX, and it will have alot more suspension than the car it is in now. THe car its in now only has control arms, slatter bars, sub frames connectors and a k member kit.

Jay Allen decided to delete all of my posts . . . eventually deleted my name.

Ironically enough because of this dyno graph.

He thought I was trying to sell everyone onto running iron production heads on strokers.

I posted real world data (along with another thread) and he got pissed.

well, fwiw i've gone 7.30's in the 1/8 and ended up going 11.60's in the 1/4. as long as it runs good times at the track who gives a f--k what the dyno says.

That was my intentions, i was just like WTF cuz that Dyno really got me down...thanks alot guys

i would tell people its slow and try and make some money of them since it only dynoed "x" amount of horsepower
