Just curious how many use their Cobra's as daily drivers? I just picked mine up a week ago and have already gone through a tank of gas (maybe 200 miles)...I could only imagine if it were my daily driver...
I was.. I picked up an 89 LX and have been using that instead. But for the first 3+ years I owned it, it was my DD.blk04cobra1 said:Just curious how many use their Cobra's as daily drivers? Check out their webpage for pics as that will probably make more sense that what I can describe.lemosley01 said:What do you mean by 'siped' - never heard of that (seriously).
what are your current tires?motorcitymustang said:Check out their webpage for pics as that will probably make more sense that what I can describe.
But........basically what they do is remove each tire/wheel and mount it in a fixture. A set of blades slices into the tread approx. half way down the depth of the tread blocks. What this does is increase the number of gripping edges from the standard tread pattern. Just the wet weather traction difference alone was amazing. I went from having a hard time keeping the tires from loosing grip in third gear on on ramps (let alone first or second from standing starts) to first gear gripping if I was just a tad careful.
that's WHY I drive it all year. could never stand to park a car for too long. too fun to drive (and we don't get a helluva lot of snow here near detroit anymore).SVT2FAST4U said:but not in snow, sleet or any really harsh conditions...love her toooo much
