Just installed these this weekend. I hope they don't drop any lower. I only drove it around the block but the paper that came with them says they'll settle after about 500 miles. I also have tokico blue shocks, 94 spindles and the ford motorsport arms on there.

looks about the same as mine, I have 245/50/16's all around. FMS 'B' springs.

that loosk about right for b springs. I also think your car loos good liek that. i would liek to see a pic of the hole car. If your car settles a little lower and yu want it at that height yu can get poly spring isolatoer and put them in inplace of the rubber isolaters. They raise it up a bit. Almost 1/2" if memory serves me correctly.

Ford Freek- I'll post some pics when I do the rears. I only did the front. Hopefully by the end of the week I'll have it done.

I am using the stock isolaters so maybe I'll go with the polys if it gets any lower.

the rears are much easier to install IMO.

just jack up the rear, put jackstands under the subrame rails then push down on each rear wheel and the stock springs will practically fall out ;)

Terrible jaun with C springs your car should sit lower than his. Unless yu have taken waeight off the front end. Which will cause it to raise back up. This is my car with sportline springs which are essentially the same as C springs. It sat low. I removed them this week. I had no isolators in though. I also have 17" wheels. The size of the wheels and tires effect how low it looks.

Mine is almost that low in the front and I am using the same rim, hubs, spindls and rotors as you. I didnt put the rear springs in due to if I did my slicks would not clear.

Xporter,

That's where mine sits. I have about 50k on mine.

hey guys....reading this thread someone mentioned the poly isolators will raise the car up close to 1/2? is this true? I was going to put in B's this weekend but after seeing xporters car I am having second thoughts. I don't want it that low. anyone have a pic of B's with the poly isolators?

Don't forget caster/camber plates and a bumpsteer kit if you plan on lowering your car close to 2 inches. 1 1/2 inches isn't too bad but at 2 inches the whole geometry of your suspension starts to get screwed up unless you do a few more things to it to compensate. Go to www.steeda.com and read all the info they have on suspensions and necessary alterations. Basically the center line of you suspension becomes all messed up and you have to add other parts to bring the system back up to a tolerable level to properly align the front end. The caster/camber kits will allow you to do this. Overall height of car will not change but the suspension geometry will be correct. Without some compensation, tires will wear out very quickly. Many people blame the socalled "worthless tires" when it is their suspension that forces the tire to wear out prematurely. Steeda even makes oversized ball joints to help compensate for drastically lowered cars. Check it out. I have Steeda's sport springs and Tokico blue shocks with KYB quads on my '98 GT convertible. It sits low and handles like a dream. I could align their set-up without making additional additions to the suspension but plan on shortly adding the caster/camber plates for better overall control. Good luck!

IMHO, I don't think poly isolators raise the car up that much. I put them in my car at the same time that I changed springs so I couldn't directly compare ride height with both. However, upon comparison of the isolators themselves, I noticed that the thickness was nearly the same between the two. I concluded that any ride height change would be due to how much the material compresses. I have a hard time believing a 1/2 difference. Has anyone used both on the same set of springs?

Well here's the pics with the rears installed. I like the the way it came out but I don't think that was a 7/8" drop in the front. I think it was more like
1 1/2". I still have to get it aligned to.

I think it looks great, your car has the same raked look that my coupe does, much better than the tail dragging look of most foxbody's ;)
