'86 Mustang GT 5 speed

I am the 3rd owner. Car is show quality.

I bought the car in October of 2004 from a corral member, gnvair. For those of you that know Lee, he is very meticulous. He replaced virtually everything on the car.

The car looks and drives like a brand new 86 GT. It recently won 2nd place in its class at the South Jersey Mustang show at Holman Ford on its first showing according to the previos owner.

I took the car to the Fords at Englishtown right after I bought it and took First Place in my class, came home with a big 'ole trophy Onto the goodies....

It has a fresh $3500 paint job of its original Jalalpeno/Bright red with a gray cloth interior. Car is a hatch back with no t tops or sunroof. The interior is beautiful. It has NOS hood and hatch decals that were just installed. The tasteful modifications that have been done to the car look like Ford meant for them to be there.

The details:

This car rides, looks, and runs 100% awesome. I must give credit to the previous owner as obviously he spent a bundle making this car what it is. I added ASP underdrive pulleys and upgraded to a Hurst shifter.

I ran a 13.8 at Atco before I had the BFGs. That was on Kumhos w/ 2.2 short time. The car now wears brand new BFG drag radials out back.

I also have a Ford Motorsport aluminum driveshaft and Ford Motorsport 3.73 gears that goes with the car. They are 100% brand new still in the box. Obviously with 3.73s and BFGs this car would run pretty well.

I get tons of compliments on this car, it is without a doubt the cleanest '86 GT I have ever seen. This is ready to be a show car, a daily driver, or a race car for any Fox body lover. I have pics on the below link. I'll try to get more ASAP.

This pic was taken by the previous owner. It shows how straight the body is.

back TTT for a beautiful 86 GT.

I'm Lee's close friend and helped him get the car ready the night before last year's annual Holman Mustang Show (2003).

This car was about 90% complete when we took it to the 2003 Holman show and it did place 2nd Place in it's class, even when it was still unfinished at that time. It received TONS of compliments while at the show and had a ton of folks around it.

Lee finished the car after the Holman show and that car was (and still is) immaculate. Pictures do not do justice, this car has to be seen in person to see the overall detail and time put into it in getting it restored. The car turned out BETTER than Ford had ever made it to be.

I remember Lee telling me the car then took 1st place (awesome!!) after Kenny H. had purchased it.

Best of luck selling it - it surely is a nearly perfect PRIME example of a great 86 GT.

Thanks for the compliments on the car. This car is amazing as you said. Lee did an incredible job on it. My Formula looks to be getting sold almost immediately for what I was asking so if I don't get the price I want for this car, I will hold onto the '86. If I can just get through the next year of getting married and getting a nicer/bigger house with a garage, then you'll see a serious transformation take place:):joy:
