My last trip to the track went like this:
1.694 60'
8.023@86.38
12.60@107.2

Now I've seen other 01's run the same 1/8th speed but then normally end up trapping at around 109 or 110. It just seems that my 1/8 mile speed is too high to be running a 107.

typically you see 13-14mph more in the 1/4 so yeah possibly. How about damn stock mach's running more mph. that gets me.

yea mach 1's are healthy cars to say the least! you think it could be the 4.10s? You mean 23-24mph right

Why does that get you? The Mach makes more power than the 99-01 Cobra. So it should not be a surprise. It is not the same engine.

I think it's the 4.10's. You're shifting to 4th gear too close to the traps. If you're going to stay N/A go with 4.56's. I had 4.10's and swapped to 4.30's, shoulda went to 56's though

Alright thanks. I'm definitely going to give the 4.56's a try then.

could you feel a differnce between the 4.10's and the 4.30's? I am thinking of doing the same swap.

Thanks
Alex

Yes. It's a pretty noticable difference, even my passengers had comments. The main difference is the fact that 1st gear doesnt bog down like it used to. I still have street tires so I cant launch to high but I can now leave the line at idle or a few hundred rpms higher and the car will pick itself up pretty good. When I had the 4.10's it was always bog bog bog.

Its definately your 4.10 gears. Go with a 4.56 and youll drop a few tenths and pick up a few mph. My 1/8 mile mph was almost the same as yours but I trapped almost 111 last friday when I ran my car. Heres how my slip went for comparison.

60' 1.688
330' 5.042
1/8 7.854
mph 86.85
1000 10.273
1/4 12.310
mph 110.98

This is my first pass on slicks...when I blew the oil pump gears on the 3/4 Powershift

60’ 1.643
330 5.091
1/8 7.823
MPH 89.28
990 10.164
ÂĽ 12.550
MPH 103.32

My best pass is in my sig on drag radials

4.10s suck for the 1/4 mile!

Dave me and you gotta line up...Pm me for details on my clubs track rental at ATCO!
