Thanks for the link. Wondering if we have any more user updates, looks like the kit comes with a lot of the same brands the other companies are selling. I guess no matter where you buy it from you'll need to have the kit checked out.
Is there anywhere you could order a stroker kit that has been correctly balanced or is buying parts and taking them to your local machine shop the only way?

There are so many top shelf machine shops in CT, why not check with them?
Larry's Power and L&L Machine in Groton just to name a couple.

Sure. You just have to ask them up front if they weigh and correct every part. My guys know that, if they are caught taking short cuts, they'll need to find a shortcut to the unemployment office.

You should also weight in the technical acumen. Some companies have a staff that has no idea what they're selling. I'm sure of this because we (and others) end up doing their tech for them.

But the customer has to understand what a "kit" is. It is the basic components required to build a rotating assembly. That doesn't mean you can buy it and bolt it in. The vendor can't measure anything, unless he assembles the kit first.....with the block. Well, he can measure it, but it's just numbers. If you expect that, you should be buying a shortblock.

The materials he sells are just fine, SCAT is good stuff. The QA on the parts themselves and the actual balancing job done to them would be my questionable areas. And a user should a,way measure everything for themselves anyways, getting a kit in the mail, throwing it together and hoping it runs is silly...
