In the midst of figuring out why my car runs like crap after warmup I found a JET performance module on the J3 port of my A9L, I removed it because I don't trust canned tune chips (Dyno or nothing, they cause more problems and don't do jack). Ran the part number and it was for a 2003 mustang GT 4.6 SOHC not a 1993 Mustang GT 5.0 Windsor (my car).
So what problems could this cause? I've owned the car for a year now so it's been there for at least that long. Do you think it could fry out my PCM over time?

It will not fry your computer. I'm surprised it ran at all. However, it might be possible it was reflashed by someone with a compatible burner. I have a Jet chip and my Burn2 or Jaybird won't flash one but who knows what someone could have done. Installing a chip flashed with a different strategy usually does things like give you a flooded engine, fuel pump run on and crazy nonsense but hardware wise there isn't any way I know of that it can damage your EEC. It's just trying to run off of numbers in the wrong places it doesnt understand is all.
