Window Run Channel too TIGHT!

I ordered new window run channels from a reputable site and they actually look really great and seem to be made from quality material. But, once I installed the passenger side, the window is not rolling up all the way as it is binding at the rear view mirror.... I have read this issue on a few other sites and have not read of an appropriate solution other than trimming the back of the WS till it works... it seems it works great for a lot of people, including the instructional video, did I just get a faulty piece?? I am hesitant to do the drivers door until this is figured out.

FWIW... when I replaced my window run channel I could not get my window to go up perfectly no matter how many times I adjusted and readjusted my window. I finally came to the conclusion that maybe the motor was too old and was only working because the old run channel was so worn down. I replaced the window motor and it jacked the window right up in there with no problem.
I solved my own problem this evening, I was trying to cram too much of the actual weather stripping into the run channel. there is an additional "flap" that goes around the inside portion of the door frame. the weather stripping effectively "wraps" around the inside of the window frame. I know this may not be the clearest explanation, if anyone else is having a similar issue, I will try to do a better job. dmills, maybe take a peek at yours when you get a chance, make sure it was correctly installed.
I got a set last summer, removed all of the old dried out stuff and put the new ones in. They never would stay seated, like there wasn't anything holding them fully in the channel. I got new window motors from NAPA ( made in china :( ), but no joy there either, still go up and down real slow.
I've tried readjusting the main window support, and lubing the components but no changes.

does my little write up make sense? I know it may be hard to understand but double check that it was installed correctly as per my "instructions". I will take some pics later, not sure if I can post them but I would be happy to email them. I know how frustrating this can be for such a simple install...
Yeah, I had the door panels off and got all of the old stuff out, new ones just won't grab into the channels like they should.
I tend to think it's a combination of tight seals and power window motors that are just weak sauce.

damn man, sorry to hear that... that would drive me NUTS if the weather stripping was always falling out. maybe at some point it would just be worth getting a new piece, they aren't to expensive. if it doesn't work the second time, im sure you could at least get your money back.

No such thing as "weak motors". I just finished rebuilding the gearboxes, $5.99/door, torque pins.
I just replaced mine a couple weeks ago. Mine were from Late Model Resto. No problems with them.
