right now i have 255/60 15s and when i try to slide around turns or swing donuts they rub on the outter fender, will 275s do this? the ones i have now are a 27 inch tire.

I went from a Radial T/A to a Nitto Extreme Drag in those exact sizes and yes they still rub. It's a helluva lost less though. You have to corner pretty hard but they'll rub under the right conditions.

I took a baseball bat and gently ran between the tire and the wheelwell. Gentle (and I stress GENTLE) pressure will bend the fender lip so you're not tearing up the tire to badly. It's helps but again, it still rubs ocassionally.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that my car is lowered 1" in the rear as well....

No rubbing problems with my '86... I did have to massage a small part of the inner wheelwell with a BFH, but just barely.

Could also be the offset of the wheel as well...

I'll go look on the boxes... I can't remember. It's either 4.5" or 5.5"
