So I had FPS build me a 331. Short story, I put it in and now the car overheats after 5 minutes of driving. If let to idle it stays right about 210. I have a fluidyne, 160 t-stat(tried 180, 190), new upper radiator hose, new radiator cap. Upper radiator hose holds a lot of pressure, to the point where it seems it might bust. I would think something is clogged in the system, but what? Thanks in advance.

try replacing your radiator. Did the water pump come with the engine or did you go buy one and put it on? It also could be your fan.

Has the water twmp reached 240+ yet? If so it might have warped one of your heads ever so slightly.. I think that might be my problem.
BTW, I replaced my fan, fan clutch, radiator, heater core, water pump, hoses and I still overheat!

Well I did hit 250deg once and i was worried about warping the heads, but fps told me not to worry. I unhooked my heater hoses and sealed up the second outlet on the waterpump, could this have something to do with it?
