I have an AOD with a Stallion 3000 stall lockup conveter and the Precision Industries billet 3/4 inputshaft.

At what point (HP, ET) will the direct clutch hub fail? I plan on having around 450-500 rwhp but Im not sure if the direct clutch hub will take it. Precision industries said that the inputshaft will be fine but they were unsure about the direct clutch.

Any experiences?

I have about 500RWHP (guestimated) on nitrous and have been OK so far. I spray right off the line, all the way down the 1/4 also.

Are those numbers with the stock direct clutch drum?

Whose input shafts are you using?

And that is with lockup?
1. Sorry, I'm not sure someone else did my trans rebuild.
2. The stock 1-2 shaft with a TCI 3-4 shaft.
3. Yes.

Maybe it was a fluke, but I sheared the splines right off the direct clutch drum last spring.I was on the street and using 225/60/zr15s.It broke on a 1-2 WOT shift.

Hers is a link to what happened http://www.corral.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=103420.
