Putting together a stock rebiuld, heads slightly ported vlv job and lower intake ported and I have two cams staring at me one from a 1987 motor and one from a 1990 motor. Which one would you install and why?

I'm not sure when the changes occured, but I'd grab the 87 cam, it will be slightely more aggressive then later ones.

No 87 thru 95 had the same cam specs. they're the same

Go to this link and you'll see that they're not the same. Upto 10/88 HO cam specs are 266/266 .444/.444 115/115 after 10/88 they become 276/266 .444/.444 116/115.

I'm trying to findout which one is better if better.

Be careful with this site, there are many mistakes with his specs.

There is a difference in the cams! Supposedly a slight change in lift and duration was made in mid 1990 due to a harmonics problem in the valve train. The later cam is slightly less aggressive, and will cost you about 3 hp. Order a new one from Ford for an '87 or '90 and you will get the later design.
