I'm just freshening up my engine. The crank looks great, but there
are very small scratches in the crank. You cannot feel them with
a fingernail, but they are there.......is this worth having the crank turned?
Well, remember that the rods and crank mains ride on a FILM OF OIL and not on the bearings if everything is working ok. If the offending journal's old bearing looked good and you're not planning significant power increases then you're probably fine. If you're worried take some 1200 grit emery cloth, wet it with oil and lightly polish it and finish up with 1800 grit...
