Not sure if you'll wanna do this, but if you can find a fox bellhousing and clutch fork, you can retrofit the older trannies. Those two pieces compensate for the difference in input shaft length. BTW, if someone tells you this can't be done, they're full of beans. We have a 95 GT T5 in our 91 LX, and it was done using the process described above, just with 95 hardware rather than Fox.
