I've got a carbed 302 setup with a mechanical fuel pump. I just bought all the an fittings and adapters I need to install an in-line fuel pressure gauge (under the hood). Where is the best place within the fuel line to put the gauge? Does mounting it closer to the carb get a better reading? I have an in-line fuel filter, and I'd like to just put it right after the filter. Or would it be better at the carb inlet? Thanks.

anywhere you can see it when adjusting the regulator is good as long as it is after the regulator (if you're using one).

I have one of those chrome dual feed adapters from Summit, it has a fitting right on it. That's what used. Think it was under $20. My friend has a brass Y adapter on his 82 splieced into the line between the pump and carb.

I've got my regulator mounted to my pass side strut tower and the fuel line running from it to a guage which is right next to the dual feed lines connecting to each bowl. If you want to see a pic, go to http://kevs85gt306.tripod.com

good luck
