factory freak

here's mine... pulled the best time last night at t-n-t :) my GT is one of the fabled "factory freaks" and i feel it still has more in it... i ran the time below launching at about 1800rpm and spinning my ass off all the way down the track... can't wait to put on my control arms, subframes, and some d/r or slicks...

my goal is to break a 12 (even if it's 12.999) without touching the engine...

k&n filter in stock airbox
flowmaster 40 series with all stock pipe
Hypertech programmer
4.10 gears

Mods:

Vortech SQ with 3.33 pulley, Vortech aftercooler, 42lbs injectors, KB BAP, ported & polished TB, Pro M MA, 3.73's, aluminum DS, subframes, steeda triax, M&M rear control arms, tokico shocks/struts, bullit intake, Cobra brakes, MAC longtubes, modified Bassani X-with cats, Borla catback, battery in the trunk, Nitto DR's, and tuned by Lidio Iacobelli of Alternative Auto. I am sure that I missed several things but I think you get the idea. Car dynoed at 399.5RWHP and 392.2RWTQ. Later Ron

If yours is a "factory freak", then what is mine??

I ran better than that on my stock tires with less mods. (13.52 @ 100.1) All I had was the gears and WMS tube. If you count my subframes, DS loop, and axles, my car is probably heavier than yours is. My car weighs in at well over 3400 lbs with the stock wheels/tires.

Not trying to disenchant you, but I don't believe in "factory ringers". Not in this day and age. However, I DO believe in those special weather days that people don't share sometimes when they run a good number.

Keep it up man...it can only get faster. 12's without touching the engine should be cake.

i pulled the 13.5 about 6:45pm yesterday... temp was about 75, always humid here...

so i'd say typical conditions and not abnormally cool or anything...

last time i weighed the car it came in at 3450 with me and a tank of gas... (of course spare and misc in the trunk)

See sig. I never launched the car hard prior to adding the N2O, even with the E.T.Streets. After the c-locker, 31 splines and 4.56's are in I'll do some 7K RPM N/A launches and shoot for a 12 on just motor.:D
