There's more than enough bolt holes for several different engines and transmissions. That center top bolt hole looks like it's for a Chevy.
The Ford starter bolts to the bellhousing, but this one does not appear to have the proper mounting holes. It looks like someone has added a threaded hole right where the starter pocket curves out. I wonder if this a multi-fit bellhousing to fit one type of trans to various engines? It would have to be trans specific as different transmissions have different input shaft lengths, although this housing is drilled for several bolt patterns (which Ford had). The two small holes midway between the clutch fork opening and the trans opening look like the mounting point for a Ford fork pivot.Where does the Ford starter bolt up?![]()
